Swimming Carnival

Date

27 February

Time

All day

Location
Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Homebush Bay

Our annual swimming carnival will be held at SOPAC again this year. This is a world class facility that hosted the Olympic Games in 2000. Our students have the opportunity to compete in the same pool in which Ian Thorpe won his first Olympic medals! The carnival will include competitive events for students aged 8 and over as well as novelty events for those who just want to get their toes washed. The buses leave early in the morning in order to accomodate the large number of races. This year, students need to be entered for their race online. Please fill in the online form to enter your child. Remember to submit a separate form for each child. Siblings can not be entered on the same form.  Please make sure you have carefully read the Swimming Carnival information and have completed the online entry form. Students will only be allowed to leave the carnival with a parent, if this has been pre-arranged in writing prior to the carnival. Ensuring students are accounted for, as we move to and from the pool and school, is a priority. Any parent who has sought approval in writing to take their child from the carnival must also sign their child out at the attendance desk, located on the bridge, from 2:00p.m. on the day. If your child is in a relay he/she will need to remain at the pool until the relay has concluded. See the attached information and permission note for more details.
